Jonathan Webb is partner with our firm and a shipping law expert.

Jonathan brings extensive experience as a partner in a major London law firm over the past 20+ years, specializing in shipping dispute resolution, handling both arbitration and High Court cases involving transport, shipping, commodities and energy. His expertise spans dispute resolution arising from charterparties, bills of lading, ship sale MOAs, financing contracts, shipbuilding contracts, hull insurance policies, bunker supply contracts, ship management and crewing agreements among others. Jonathan also holds a special interest in mediation.

Jonathan boasts dual qualification as a Solicitor (England & Wales) and a South Africa Attorney at Law, and maintains an extensive network of international contacts in a number of other jurisdictions. He has published articles (including in the Charterparties – Law Practice and Emerging Legal Issues series) and spoken extensively at various international conferences and on webinar panels, as well as lecturing at several leading Universities.

Jonathan sits on the Boards of various professional and industry bodies including (i) the London Shipping Law Centre, (ii) the British Maritime Law Association and (iii) the World Ocean Council while he is also (iv) a supporting member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association.

Jonathan works in English, and also has a working knowledge of Afrikaans.
