First Commercial Scale U.S. Offshore Wind Farm Receives BOEM Approval

One (not so) small Record of Decision from BOEM, one giant leap for US offshore wind: The first commercial scale offshore wind project in the United States recently received final federal approval to proceed.

Very exciting for those involved in the project, and all parties eager to see the development of an offshore wind industry in the U.S.

Of particular interest to maritime stakeholders is the turbine layout – BOEM approved utilization of a 1×1 nmi east-west grid in combination with other proposed limitations.
