Virtual Vacation Scheme 2020

That’s a wrap! Today marks the last day of the firm’s Virtual Vacation Scheme for students aged 18 and over.

Over the last two weeks students from the UK and Australia have participated in a virtual scheme where they have taken part in workshops focused on various legal sectors, tried their hand at drafting documents and undertaken charterparty reviews. The scheme has been run by trainee, Shannen Trout with contributions from the FZ team including Calum Cheyne, Damon Thompson, Aiden Lerch, Eva-Maria Mayer and Jonas Patzwall. This scheme has been a pleasure to run, particularly in the current climate. The students have shown that despite the odds being against them, they are more determined than ever to build on their understanding of the legal sector and make career moves that will help them excel in the future. We are delighted to be able to help them with this and have enjoyed working alongside the students. We would like to thank each of the students for making our first virtual vacation scheme one to remember, and the University of Wollongong and University of Southampton for facilitating this scheme. Here is to many more successful years of running the virtual programme!
